Josiah started his martial arts path at the age of 12 at a small community center under Master Benny Wong. Much of his success he devotes to Master Wong for planting a seed that has turned into a life long path he is dedicated to.

Much of Josiah’s youth was spent either in the dojo or out playing sports. Totally entranced by Taekwondo he gave it his best and even skipped from blue to red belt (in between there is a red stripe). He achieved his first degree black belt just before his 18th birthday at the top of his class. Shortly after he got a job working at Richmond Martial Arts as an assistant instructor. Slowly working his way up the ladder to instructor and then head instructor by age 21.

Josiah has competed in several local and national tournaments achieving 1st place in British Columbia and 1st place in Canada.

Today Josiah manages the best martial arts school in Richmond, BC, Richmond Martial Arts, housing some of the finest students who achieve high grades in school, contribute in their family household, and have become excellent martial artists.

He also is passionate about helping his peers better their lives through posture correction, overall fitness, and healthy mindset. All done through martial arts training.

Today Josiah is building Josiah Kicks Academy into the best Taekwondo competitive school in the city and soon the province having already won several provincial level tournaments.

In his free time Josiah is an avid adventurer. He loves hiking, waterfall hunting, and road trips. Josiah also loves music and plays the guitar.
